There is a similar X: A expression ratio whether there are one or two active X chromosomes present in cells. We divided all the cells in mouse we examined into three groups (female with two active X chromosomes, female with one active X chromosomes and male), the X: A expression ratio for all the three groups are close to 1 whether there are one or two active X chromosomes present in cells (P > 0.05, by Student’s t-test). The X: A ratio for each group is significant close to 1 compare to 0.5 (student’s t-test, p < 0.001). The percentiles in all boxplots are 0.05, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 0.95.
