From: Improved Growth Patterns in Cystic Fibrosis Mice after Loss of Histone Deacetylase 6

Loss of HDAC6 does not improve CFTR function in CF/HDA mice. Nasal potential difference (NPD) traces for wild type (WT), F508del (CF), Hdac6−/− (HDA) and F508del/Hdac6 (CF/HDA) mice. Mice are perfused initially with HEPES-buffered Ringer’s (HBR) in the presence of amiloride (amil; 100 µM), and then perfusion is transitioned to Cl−-free HBR containing amil and forskolin (forsk; 10 µM). Graph shows averaged change in transepithelial potential difference (ΔTEPD) in response to Cl−-free HBR/forsk. Significance between all groups was determined; WT (n = 4), HDA (n = 4), CF/HDA (n = 4) and CF (n = 3). Significance determined by 1-way ANOVA with Newman-Keuls multiple comparison post hoc test. Significance compared to WT response is shown (*p < 0.05). Data represent the means ± S.E.M.
