Inhibition of Brd proteins binding to acetylated chromatin by JQ1 impairs the transcriptional activation of sat III sequences by RNAP II in stressed cells. (a) HSF1 (green signals) was either co-detected with BRD4 by immunofluorescence (red signals) (upper image) or detected with acetylated Lysine (lower image) (b) hsp70 (red signals) and sat III (green signals) RNA were detected with RNA FISH (same exposure time were used in both conditions).
