Concept extraction pipeline. Non-negated concepts and ICD-9 diagnosis codes are extracted from Emergency Department electronic medical records. Concepts, codes and concept aliases are mapped to unique IDs, which in turn populate a co-occurrence matrix of size (Concepts) × (Patients).
