T2: Females were mated and further randomised to one of the two gavage treatments, i.e. Fish oil or Control (water). T3: on postnatal day 2 pups were counted, sexed and weighed; excess pups were culled. T4: on postnatal day 21 pups were separated, while dams were culled and had samples taken. T5: final metabolic assessments of adult male offspring.
