Influence of neuraminidase on H9 virus replication. Replication in the (A–C) bronchus and (D–F) lung of reverse genetics H9N2 containing the HA and NA of H9N2/G1 and the internal genes from a pandemic H1N1 virus (A/California/04/2009) (rgH9N2), and a comparing virus with only HA of H9N2/G1 and the other seven genes from (A/California/04/2009) (rgH9N1). The chart showed the mean and the SEM of the virus titer pooled from at least three independent experiments. Asterisks indicated statistical significant increase in viral yield at the same time point between the two virus using paired student t-test. *p < 0.05; **p < 0.005.
