Agglutination of Raji cells. Mitsuba-1 (100 μg/mL) showed no effect on cell structure in the absence (a) or presence (b) of melibiose. MytiLec-1 at the same concentration produced cell clumping (c). Labelled Mitsuba-1 binds to Raji cells in the absence (d) but not presence (e) of melibiose. Labelled MytiLec-1 is also found bound to the cell membranes (f).
