Cytomorphology of “branched ashes-like necrosis” in bronchial brushing samples processed using the SurePath LCT platform or conventional cytopathology, followed by Papanicolaou’s staining. Necrosis in the pattern of “branched ashes-like necrosis” appeared as wither-like ashes. Samples were stained with Papanicolaou’s stain. Magnification, 400X.
