The viability of C. difficile vegetative cells was not significantly affected by Fe_3-δO₄-treatment. Fe_3-δO₄ nanoparticles (500 µg/mL) did not inhibit the viability of vegetative C. difficile in all three test strains compared cells treated with 3% sodium hypochlorite.
