DCB-3503 and rac-cryptopleurine exhibit anti-HCV activity in HCV genotype 1b (Con1) replicon cells. The level of HCV RNA and cell viability after treatment with various concentrations of (a) DCB-3503 or (b) rac-cryptopleurine. The expression level of HCV RNA was analyzed by real-time PCR and normalized to that of β-actin. Expression of NS3 and NS5A in the (c) DCB-3503 and (d) rac-cryptopleurine-treated HCV replicon cells were analyzed by Western blot. β-Actin served as the internal loading control. The results are representative of at least three independent experiments, error bars represent standard deviations.
