Black broken lines indicate a host transition where selective pressures switch in favour of the other host. Error bars are given at the midpoint of each niche and correspond to one standard deviation. Ecological groups were inferred from the profiles, with specialist groups for Host 1 (red line) and Host 2 (blue line) as well as a generalist group (black line).
