Effect of H2O2 on P. falciparum NF54[roGFP2-Orp1]-attB- and NF54[Mito-roGFP2-Orp1]-attB -transfected parasites. After 15 s of baseline monitoring, NF54[roGFP2-Orp1]-attB (a) and NF54[Mito-roGFP2-Orp1]-attB parasites (b) were exposed to H2O2 (10 µM to 1 mM) and were monitored for 3 min via CLSM. Non-treated parasites served as controls. NF54[roGFP2-Orp1]-attB and NF54[Mito-roGFP2-Orp1]-attB parasites showed comparable sensitivities towards H2O2. For each H2O2 concentration, data from at least nine trophozoites in total, examined in three independent experiments, were analyzed per data point. Means and standard errors of the means (SEM) of three experiments are shown.
