Prediction performance by the area under receiver operating characteristic (AUROC) curve analysis. Metabolic discrimination between rapid (F2-F4) and slow (F0-F1) fibrosers one year after liver transplantation has yielded an AUROC of 0.92, sensitivity 71%, specificity 85%, accuracy 84%, negative predictive value 67%, positive predictive value 84%, positive likelihood ratio 4.73, and negative likelihood ratio 0.34. Linear discriminant analysis has been carried out through LOOCV. Associated ROC curves for the estimation (solid line), and validation (dotted line) data sets. The optimum cut-off point for the estimation group (0.54) was defined as that at which average diagnostic accuracy was a maximum.
