Hydrogen bonds between the protein and NAD+ atoms are shown as dashed black lines, whereas the solid black line represents the path of hydride transfer. Residues from domain II are semitransparent, whereas those from domain IV* are yellow. Italicised re and si indicate the two prochiral faces of the C4 atom of nicotinamide.
