Mode of delivery does not alter the microbial profiles. Multidimensional scaling (MDS) plot of validated samples by delivery method based on the Bray-Curtis, unweighted UniFrac, and weighted UniFrac distance metrics. The centroid of average distances per delivery method was not significant (PERMANOVA: Bray-Curtis: P = 0.49, Unweighted UniFrac: P = 0.060. Weighted Unifrac: P = 0.38). Statistical analyses were performed using the Mann-Whitney test and PERMANOVA.
