Testing convergence of the transmission probability using the FDTD method to the analytical formula (12) for a plane wave incident on a single rectangular barrier. The transmitted probability of a rectangular barrier (height 100 eV) is shown on a logarithmic scale as a function of the barrier width. The analytical result for a plane wave (solid line) is recovered for wavepacket of width s that is sufficiently large.
