PIMOC cadaver dissection. (A) The IMA pedicle gives rise to the intercostal arteries and bifurcates distally into the musculophrenic (MP) artery and the deep superior epigastric artery (DSEA). The DSEA anastamoses with the DIEA after supplying the rectus abdominis. The 6th and 7th ribs are supplied by the MP and individual intercostal arteries. (B) The PIMOC with its IMA pedicle, osteomyocutaneous components including the 6th and 7th ribs (1), and myocutaneous vertical rectus abdominis component (2).
