From: Translation efficiency is a determinant of the magnitude of miRNA-mediated repression
Model: Translation efficiency and mRNA elements influence the magnitude of miRNA-mediated repression. Multiple mRNA elements along with translation efficiency influence the magnitude of miRNA-mediated repression. MiRNA targets with relatively high TE will be more robustly repressed than targets with relatively low TE. Some mRNA elements may directly influence the magnitude of miRNA-mediated repression while others may have an indirect effect my changing TE.
