Gene Ontology classification of novel unigenes. Compared with the genomes of Brachypodium distachyon, Sorghum bicolor, Arabidopsis thanliana, Zea mays and Oryza sativa, Miscanthus genomes appear to have many novel unigenes. The results are summarized in three main categories: Biological process, Cellular component and Molecular function. Among them, 1,531 unigenes with BLAST matches to known proteins were assigned to gene ontology.
