From: Self-jumping Mechanism of Melting Frost on Superhydrophobic Surfaces
Three steps of the defrosting process—melting frost shrinking and splitting, self-triggered deforming and deformation-induced jumping. The self-triggered deformation finished in less than 1 ms, followed by self-jumping performance of the melting frost.
