Conventional brain histopathology from the same samples show a neuritic plaque (upper row) and neurofibrillary tangle (lower row), with silver impregnation (Silver Stain) and immunohistochemistry for amyloid-β (Aβ) and hyperphosphorylated tau protein (Tau).
