Crosstalk reduction for silicon slot waveguides. Parameters are w 1  = 250 nm, w 2  = 50 nm, h = 220 nm, S = 500 nm. The widths of the strip and the air gap at the maximum coupling length are w s  = 88 nm and w s  = 59 nm, respectively. The field profiles illustrate relatively weak modal overlap between neighboring structures at the optimal coupling length.
