Cytokine release in RAW264.7 and J774.1 cells stimulated with LPS. RAW264.7 (Fig. 3A–C) and J774.1 (Fig. 3D–F) cells were treated with different doses of UP Ec LPS, STD Pg LPS or UP Pg LPS (0 to 10,000 ng.mL−1) for 20 h. IL-6 (Fig. 3A and D), TNF-α (Fig. 3B and E), and MCP-1 (Fig. 3C and F) levels were determined by ELISA in cell culture supernatants. Comparisons between different treatments have been analyzed by two-way ANOVA test followed by a Dunnett’s test. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM (n = 3 per group). *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001 compared to 0 ng.mL−1 LPS.
