A histogram of the membrane bending rigidities (κ mem ) of a tubule in the endoplasmic reticulum calculated using Eq. (3) measured using STORM images of anti-KLC3. A lognormal distribution was fitted to the data. The average membrane bending rigidity of the ER tubules was 10.9 ± 1.2 kT.
