Chaperone activity assay. Thermal aggregation of HEWL at 43 °C was monitored at a wavelength of 360 nm by measuring the degree of light scattering at different time points. The reference level of scattering was determined with a reaction mixture containing only buffer, HEWL and DTT (light green triangles). Aggregation is strongly reduced in the presence of dilute AnPrx6 (brown dots), whereas the same dilution of BSA (positive control) has almost no effect on aggregation (orange dots). Buffer and DTT (dark green triangles) were used as negative control (blank).
