Filled symbols • represent the maximum effect, when the exponential entropic-penalty factor in τ 1a is equal to one (i.e. the distance Δa = 0); the open symbols ○ represent the reduced acceleration effect when Δa 2 = ΔNb 2: already an almost negligible deviation from a simple zipper time past the loop size = 2.
