ROC curve analysis and determination of the cutoff value of G6PD activity in male and female groups separately, to discriminate between (A) normal vs hemizygous males, (B) normal vs heterozygous females, (C) heterozygous vs homozygous/compound heterozygous females. The curve is generated by plotting the true positive rate (sensitivity) against the false positive rate (1 − specificity). The accuracy was shown as the area under the ROC curve with 95% confidence interval. The optimal cut-off value was defined as one with the highest Youden’s index (=sensitivity + specificity − 1).
