Lead compounds inhibit C nuclear import in live cells. HeLa cells transfected to express C-GFPwere treated with 50 µM compound or DMSO for 2 h as indicated, prior to FRAP analysis as per Materials and Methods. The nuclear region (outlined in red) was photo-bleached and fluorescence recovery in this region was measured every 20 s for 580 s.
