CB2Rs in dopamine neurons modifies depression- and anxiety-like behaviors. (a–d). In the acute depression-like behavioral tests the DAT-Cnr2 cKO mice spent significantly more time immobile in the forced swim test (a) and in the tail suspension test (b) than the wild type mice. Whereas in the elevated plus-maze and two compartment black and white box anxiety tests, the DAT-Cnr2 cKO mice spent significantly more time in the open arms of the plus-maze (c) and the white chamber of the two compartment black and white box (d) than the wild type mice. Values are presented as mean ± SEM with 10–12 mice per group and **P < 0.01 for DAT-Cnr2 cKO and wild type mice.
