Schematic diagram of a quadratically coupled optomechanical system. This optomechanical system is driven by a strong control field (with frequency ω c ) and a relatively weak probe pulse (with frequency ω p ), while the thin dielectric membrane located at an antinode of the cavity field is excited by a weak coherent mechanical pump (with frequency ω d ). After the dynamical backaction of quadratic optomechanical coupling between the cavity field and the membrane, the higher-order sidebands are generated.
