The simulated color intensity maps showing where the HE11 (c) and TE01 (d) exist as guided modes. The color indicates the ratio of electric field distribution inside and outside the NW. The dashed areas denote areas where the modes have electric field partly outside the NW. These areas match to the measured and simulated bands in the cross-polarization spectra.
