Green tea extract inhibited the IL-1β, TNF-α protein accumulation in vitreous humor. (a,b) The concentrations of pro-inflammatory factors TNF-α, IL-1β were increased significantly 48 hrs after LPS treatment. 550 mg/kg GTE produced a prominent reduction on the secretion of these two cytokines compared LPS group.
