Effects of mBMSC and EA treatment on neurogenesis as detected by Ki67. (A,C) Photomicrographs and (B,D) histograms for Ki67-positive and Ki67/Sox2 or Ki67/PSA-NCAM double-positive cells (n = 5). The number of Ki67-positive cells, especially in the hippocampus, was higher in the combined mBMSC and EA treatment group than in the other groups. The number of Ki67/Sox2 double-positive cells in the striatum was significantly higher in the combined mBMSC and EA treatment group than in the vehicle-treated MCAO group.
