Effect of binge alcohol exposure on the anxiety-related behavior of adolescent rats. Adolescent rats received binge alcohol exposure for 4 days as described under the Materials and Methods. One day after the last alcohol exposure, open field test was performed on these rats to assess the spontaneous locomotor activity. (A) The amount of distance in which the rats traveled was measured. (B) The relative duration in which rats stayed in the center of the open field was determined. (C) The number which the rats entered the center of the open field was calculated. (D) The average speed of movement of the rats in the open field test was determined. All values are expressed as mean ± S.E.M, n = 10 for each group.
