Very few areas of positive CD41 platelet stain indicate slight presence of adhered platelets to the adventitia rings. Inside the tissue rings, (a) fibroblast and platelet cell nuclei stained positive for DAPI, and (b) CD41 platelet stain was positive in very few 100 µm-sized areas near the edge of the rings.
