siRNAs targeting I215L disrupt late viral transcription. (A) siRNAs against I215L significantly reduced its mRNA levels at 4, 8 and 16 hpi in comparison to the infected control (p ≤ 0.05). I215L-depleted cells showed significantly lower mRNA levels of the ASFV B646L late gene (p ≤ 0.05) (C), although the mRNA levels of the early viral gene CP204L (vp32) remained similar to the levels detected in control group (B). Results are shown as average ± standard error (AVG ± S.E.), between the number of molecules of each viral transcript and the number of Cyclophilin A transcripts (housekeeping gene). Data were obtained from three independent experiments run in duplicate.
