Distribution maps of axon diameter mean and standard deviation, axon density, axon volume fraction, myelin volume fraction and g-ratio in a full rat spinal cord slice (cervical level). The SEM slice was segmented with AxonDeepSeg. The aggregate metrics of the white matter were generated by downsampling the axon/myelin segmentation masks to a 50 × 50 µm2 resolution. A schematic diagram of the main ascending and descending tracts of the white matter in the rat spinal cord based on the literature34,35,36 is provided as reference.
