Plasma choline, LPA and serum LysoPLD activity in ATX knock out or overexpression mice. Plasma and serum samples were collected from each type of genetically modified mouse: control (n = 7), lox/ + (n = 5), loxP/loxP (n = 9), +/− (n = 2), and loxP/− (n = 4) mice (a), control or ATX transgenic (ATX tg) mice (n = 1, each) (b), or anti-ATX antibody treated (ATX ab+) or untreated (ATX ab−) mice (n = 3, each) (c). The concentrations of choline and LPA in the plasma and the activities of LysoPLD in the serum were measured. Results are given as the mean ± SD of the percentage of the value in the control. *P < 0.05 versus control.
