(b) 1/χmol vs. T and the inverse of the fit from panel (a) is plotted for comparison. (c) χmolT vs. T indicates a small temperature independent paramagnetic component to the measurement, evidenced as a positive gradient at room temperature. The significant decrease in the product χmolT below approximately 15 K is indicative of the onset of single-ion anisotropy at low temperatures in the powdered sample.
