C1q activated the PI3K/Akt signal pathway in HepG2 cells. The effects of C1q on the expressions of PI3K and Akt in HepG2 cells were determined by western blotting. C1q enhanced the expressions of PI3K and of phosphorylated Akt. (A) HepG2 cells were treated with 25 µg/mL C1q for 15 min, 1 h, or 4 h. Bar graphs of (B) PI3K/Actin and (C) p-Akt/Akt ratios. (D) Pharmacological inhibition of the PI3K/Akt signal pathway by wortmannin (20 µM) pretreatment for 1 h inhibited migration significantly more in the presence of C1q than in the absence of C1q.
