Parallel orientation of magnetic domains with uniaxial behaviour. (a) Fe3O4 SSD immersed in a SiO2 matrix after stirring for 4 h show desirable areas with stripes in the same direction, and the profile indicates the orientation of SSD, 90°; (b) after stirring for 12 h, the sample shows oriented magnetic domains and assembly by neighbouring interactions; profiles show the sum of all local SSD.
