Concept of nanoscale easy tear (NET) process inspired by (a) commercially available easy tear packaging. Colloidal crystal–PDMS composite is obtained without any residual on colloidal structures due to (b) tear propagation. (c) SEM and AFM image of colloidal crystal–PDMS composite and upper bulk PDMS layer clearly demonstrate the success of the NET process.
