Gelation process: (a) Samples in the powder form, dispersions of individual systems and sol state of mixed system that eventually form bicontinuous gels (BCG). (b) Structure and charge distribution of clay particle, (c) Dilution test was performed on samples after reaching a bicontinuous gel state, doesn’t show melting upon addition of water indicates the presence of attractive interactions. A fluorescent dye was added to water to distinguish gel from solvent.
