Involvement of ROS signaling in the TBT-induced JNK phosphorylation and decreased cell viability in β-cells. RIN-m5F cells were treated with or without TBT (0.5 μM) for 24 h in the presence or absence of NAC (1 or 2 mM) or SP600125 (5 or 10 μM). (A) JNK phosphorylation was determined by Western blot. The quantification was determined by densitometric analysis. (B) Cell viability was determined by MTT assay. Data are presented as mean ± SEM of three independent experiments with triplicate determinations. *P < 0.05 as compared to the vehicle control. #P < 0.05 as compared to TBT alone.
