The top row shows a view of the surface magnetization from a micromagnetic simulation of a relaxed free slab of 840 nm on top of another 840 nm of a slab with a fixed [111] magnetization, with a lateral size of 10.24 μm. The middle row shows the histogram of the in-plane distribution of the magnetization. The bottom row shows a side view of the slab using the MuView software45. K1 is set to −1.25·104 in (a), −0.94·104 in (b), −0.62·104 in (c) and −0.3·104 Jm−3 in (d) from left to right respectively. The colourmap employed to the top and side views is the same as in Fig. 1.
