(C) Keratinocytes transfected with HSD11B1-siRNA exhibited decreased 11β-HSD1 mRNA expression and this level did not increase, even when the keratinocytes were irradiated with UVB. (D,E) When keratinocytes were treated with cortisone, it was converted to cortisol in a dose-dependent manner.
