Relationship between disordered residues (DRs) and protein length. Open circles and full circles represent the 2152 IDPs analyzed from³³ and the 299 experimental IDPs from this study (inset); in both case, only proteins with a percent disorder ≥10% were analyzed. A linear relationship between DR calculated from the disorder percent from Vincent and Schnell³³ and protein length was found with a regression coefficient a = 0.17 and a correlation coefficient R² = 0.6.
