Mean refractive power maps generated from the ocular higher-order aberrations (3rd to 6th order inclusive, for a 6 mm pupil diameter) at the baseline and two-year follow up visits for subjects who exhibited (A) rapid eye growth (mean ± SD: 0.91 ± 0.23 mm) and (B) slower eye growth (mean ± SD: 0.40 ± 0.15 mm) based on a median split of the axial elongation over two years (n = 64 in each group). (C) Difference maps (rapid minus slower eye growth groups) highlight the relative difference in the higher order aberration profile between the two groups.
