From: Low doses of bioherbicide favour prion aggregation and propagation in vivo

PK rSDS-PrPSc oligomers are present in all the brains of mice treated with 20 mg/kg of A6. Brain homogenates of mice non treated (CTR); treated with DMSO (100 μL) or treated with 20 mg/kg of A6 compound, challenged (+) or not (−) with the 22L prion strain, were PK-digested. Samples were analysed by western blot using SAF mix antibodies showing PK resistant oligomers of PrPSc. Capital letters below each lane correspond to the general mice status at the time of sacrifice (S: sick; H: healthy). Numbers indicate the incubation time of animals (days post-inoculation, dpi) starting after prion infection. An anti-β-actin antibody was used as protein-loading controls, before PK digestion of samples. Molecular weight markers are indicated on the right side of each panel. The cropped blot is used in this figure and the full-length blot is presented in Supplementary Fig. S7.
