Correlation between NAL and KP metabolites, KYN and AA, in females. Significant correlations were observed between neocortical amyloid-β load (NAL) and serum concentrations of (A) kynurenine (KYN; r = 0.346, p = 0.004, n = 68) (B) anthranilic acid (AA; r = 0.449, p = 0.0001, n = 68) using Pearson’s correlation coefficient (r), in females. Correlation coefficients after adjusting for covariates age and APOEε4 are available in Supplementary Table 6. Serum KYN and AA concentrations were transformed to the logarithmic scale for analyses, to meet assumptions of the statistical test employed.
